In Russia there is no Department responsible for achieving country’s sustainable development goals (sdgs), which was adopted by the UN in 2015. This is stated in the Bulletin of the accounts chamber on the results of the analysis of the system of public administration on implementation of the sustainable development Agenda, according to TASS.
The experts noted that the system of public administration in Russia as a whole contributes to the implementation of the sdgs and suggested that the evaluation of their performance of economic development.
However, the chamber noted that the lack of responsible negatively affects the work. Because in addition to lack of control for complex implementation, no one is responsible for 25 percent of SDG indicators is 58 of 232 goals.
The agenda for sustainable development until 2030 adopted by the UN in 2015. Among the goals include the eradication of poverty, preserving the planet’s resources, and ensuring overall well-being. Just listed 17 areas, problems which should be solved in 15 years.
Previously the chamber has found massive violations in the implementation of the state program of development of Severo-the Caucasian Federal district. They led to the failure of 49% of targets, although the allocated funds were almost completely disbursed.
