Russian trawler “Kokshaysk” ran aground near the town of Tromso in Norway. About it reports broadcasting company NRK.

On Board there are 35 people, was sent to a rescue boat and a helicopter. The aircraft was soon called back: a rescue plan to launch at high tide, at about 17 PM local time. Currently the people on the boat are safe.

The cause of the accident is not yet known but it is expected that the steering could fall asleep and accidentally steer the ship aground. The captain of one of the nearby ships Edmund Johnsen said that this indicates a small roll of the trawler. Traces of occurrence he saw. For a final clarification of the causes of the accident, law enforcement officials will speak with all members of the crew.

In December 2019, the Russian fishing trawler caught fire in the port in the municipality of båtsfjord in Northern Norway. The fire started in the galley of the ship, no casualties were reported.
