Match of the 24th round of Tinkoff, the Russian Premier League (RPL) between “Orenburg” and “Krasnodar” was cancelled due to cases of coronavirus infection in the Orenburg team. This was reported on the website of the League.
“Orenburg” said that can not organize the match, as the order of the regional Department of Rospotrebnadzor team is on isolation. According to the head of the HRC Sergey Pryadkin, Russian football Union (RFU) notified of the decision of the Orenburg club, the control and disciplinary Committee of the RFU will make a decision concerning the non-appearance.
On 25 June it became known that in “Orenburg” has identified several cases of infection with coronavirus. According to TASS, they were six players and two members of the club.
In addition to “Orenburg” cases of mass infection players COVID-19 was identified in “Rostov” and “Dynamo”. Because of this, Rostov had to sign contracts with players born in 2003 to avoid a technical defeat in the match against Sochi. The latter faced criticism for playing against the “students” of “Rostov”. Sochi won with a score of 10:1.
Tinkoff RPL resumed on June 19. The championship was suspended in March due to pandemic coronavirus.
