The Federation Council member Alexei Pushkov commented on the protest of the Ukraine because of the parade in the Crimea in his Twitter account.
“Ukraine’s foreign Ministry in his repertoire: he claimed Victory parade in Crimea leads to the escalation of tension in relations with Russia,” wrote the Senator. He noted that the escalation lead “the shelling of Donbass” and not parades.
According to Pushkov, Kiev opposes the development of relations between the parties. He also pointed out that Ukraine has no Ambassador in Moscow.
Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine has sent Russia a note of protest in connection with the conduct of the Victory parade in Sevastopol, cities of the Republic of Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk, “without the consent of the Ukrainian side”. The foreign Ministry of Ukraine believe that the celebrations in these areas is “a gross violation of obligations” the Russian side. Demonstration of military equipment indicates a “continuation of Russia’s policy of militarization of the Crimea”, and also “poses a serious threat to European security,” protested the Ukrainian diplomats.
