Russian mercenaries have invaded the largest oil field in Libya El-Sharara. This was announced by the national oil Corporation of Libya (National Oil Corporation, NOC) on the page in Facebook.

It is noted that the oil Corporation of Libya is deeply concerned about the presence of Russian and other foreign mercenaries in the field. It is known that in the evening of 25 June 2020, the convoy of vehicles pulled onto the field and met with representatives of protection of objects of NOC. The Chairman of the petroleum Corporation said that “Libyan oil destined for the Libyan people”, rejecting all attempts of foreigners to prevent the resumption of oil production.

17 June, the African command of the US Armed forces stated that on the side of the Libyan national army (LNA) field Marshal Khalifa the Haftarot are fighting two thousand fighters of private military companies (PMCs) Wagner.
