Reconnaissance drone of the U.S. air force noticed over the Caucasus, along the borders of Russia, reports “Interfax” with reference to data of the monitoring resources.

The RQ-4A Global Hawk, says the Agency, flew off the base Sigonella in Sicily and was in flight for several hours. He flew along the black sea coast of the Crimea and the Kuban, and then entered the air space of Georgia.

While at it, he approached the borders of Russia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia — at the closest point he was about 20 kilometers from the Russian and 10 kilometers from the Abkhazian border. After that drone went in the airspace of Ukraine and cruised along the line of demarcation between the Ukrainian government and the breakaway republics.

On 22 June it was reported that an American plane spotted near the Russian bases in Syria.
