Russian President Vladimir Putin is strong, said the Chairman of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, voting on amendments to the Constitution. This reports the press service of the lower house of Parliament.
“He considered [in the world]. The decision itself, giving him the right to participate in elections, makes us more competitive,” explained Volodin
“Vladimir Putin is our advantage,” added the speaker.
Voting on amendments to the Constitution began across Russia, 25 June to 1 July inclusive. Among the voted on amendments to the Basic law — securing it the supremacy of Russian law over international, the concept of marriage as the Union of man and woman, mentions of God and the Russian people, limiting the number of presidential terms to two and the right of Putin to run for 2024. The head of state said he has not yet made a decision on this matter.
Volodin earlier in June said that “if we speak about a strong Russia after Putin will be Putin.”
