A trade war between the US and China may resume due to Washington’s interference in the Affairs of Beijing. About that Chinese authorities warned U.S. counterparts, writes The Wall Street Journal.
Chinese authorities consider unacceptable the US interference in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Beijing has said that while it intends to fulfil its obligations under the first phase of a commercial transaction, but plans to increase volumes of purchases of American goods will be threatened if the U.S. interference in Chinese Affairs will cease.
Washington and Beijing in January 2020 signed a trade truce, ending the trade war between the two largest economies in the world. Within its framework, China agreed to increase purchases of American products to 76,7 billion dollars during the first year of the agreement and 123.3 billion in the second. The U.S. side expects that the transaction will reduce the trade deficit.
