In France arrested six people on suspicion of kidnapping pictures of street artist Banksy from the door of the concert hall of the Paris “Bataclan”. About it reports Reuters.
According to investigators, the thieves sawed off the door of the concert hall using a grinder, and then loaded her into the van and disappeared. In early June, the painting was discovered in a village house in Central Italy. The two detainees are suspected of stealing, the rest, presumably, harboring stolen.
A drawing depicting the figure of the grieving young woman was struck on one of the doors of the concert hall. The painting was dedicated to the terrorist attack in “Bataclan”, which took place on 13 November 2015, during a concert of Eagles of Death Metal. In the result of militant attacks killed nearly 90 people.
The theft became known in January 2019. A source close to the investigation, reported that the theft involved several people in hoods. Representatives of the “Bataclan” said that deeply angered by the theft.
Banksy is one of the most famous street artists. In his works he drew attention to important socio-political themes, aimed against the policies of war and capitalism. His identity was not disclosed, now there are many versions about who is hiding behind a pseudonym.
