Russian tour operators have begun to cancel tours abroad on July because of the uncertainty with the resumption of international traffic. The plans are already confirmed, ANEX Tour, PEGAS Touristik, TEZ Tour, Coral Travel and Intourist, reports the edition “Vestnik ATOR”.
Many tour operators don’t expect international tourism will resume in the next month and cancel or transfer tours abroad until mid-July and even August.
The company PEGAS Touristik announced it was ready to rebook all tourism products with departure until 31st July. In ANEX Tour canceled tours to Turkey until July 15, tours to other countries with departure until 31st July can be transferred at a later date. TEZ Tour cancels tours to Turkey and Cyprus to 17 July, and in Greece, Italy and Spain — until the end of July. Coral Travel has decided to cancel the July tours. “Intourist” cancel foreign tours until July 16.
In may, transport Minister Eugene Dietrich said that the Ministry hopes for a recovery in domestic air travel in June 2020, and the international in July. According to him, this primarily will depend on the epidemiological situation in countries “where we would get our passengers”. RIA Novosti notes that on June 26, the official confirmed that the international flights may resume in July after the authorities are convinced of the safety of transportation in the country.
