Former player of the national team of Slovakia marián Čišovský died at the age of 40 years. This was reported on the website of the Czech club “Viktoria Plzen”.
The player ended his career in 2014, then he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The disease is incurable, the average life expectancy of patients with this diagnosis is three to five years. In September last year from this illness died former player of “Zenit” and national team of the Netherlands Fernando Ricksen.
The last club Čišovský was “Victoria”. with whom he won the championship of the Czech Republic at the end of the 2012/13 season. The defender also played for Romanian “Timisoara” Slovak “humenné”, “inter”, “Zilina” and “Artmedia Petrzalka”. In the national team of Slovakia Čišovský has played 15 matches.
