More than 30 million people participated in voting on amendments to the Constitution of Russia. These data on the morning of 28 June, updated Central election Commission (CEC) in its Telegram channel.
It is clarified that the turnout was 28.46 percent, including electronic voting. Remotely voted over 895 thousand people in Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod region (turnout 75%).
Earlier on June 28, the CEC reported DDoS attacks on the website about voting for amendments to the Constitution (конституция2020.of the Russian Federation). According to the Commission, the attacks were from abroad, presumably from the UK and Singapore.
On the first day of voting, June 25, the attack targeted the website of the CEC. Deputy Chairman of the Central election Commission of Russia Nikolay Bulaev said that the site is 240 thousand requests per second. However, he noted that problems with the operation of the portal is not observed.
June 25 started a nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution. Primary election day — July 1 — declared. Total voting across the country will be more than 96,5 thousand plots.
