The coach of CSKA advised to “man up” and resign

Former football player of Moscow CSKA Valery Masalitin commented on the return of Viktor Goncharenko to his duties as head coach. It quotes “CHempionata”.

According to Masalitin, the specialist can “make things worse”. “All took care Goncharenko, and then he returns. The team will be fragmented. If you leave, you leave. Be a man: no sooner said than done,” said he decided not to resign the coach.

The former player said that need to wait for the next “failure Goncharenko”. In his opinion, the situation will definitely happen again.

June 20, after the devastating defeat from “Zenith” (0:4) in the match of 23 Matchday Tinkoff Russian Premier League (RPL) Goncharenko wrote a letter of resignation and flew to Belarus. In this case the expert was present at the match next round against Dynamo (0:0), observing the meeting of the lodges of the stadium.

On 28 June it became known that the Belarusian specialist has decided to leave the post of chief coach of CSKA. The contract with Goncharenko is valid until may of next year.

Masalitin played for the red and blue from 1987 to 1989 and in 1993. the striker played for “Spartak” and “Terek”. He retired in 2002.
