German car brand BMW has changed its logo for the support of the LGBT community. His picture appeared on the page of the brand in Facebook.
Posted on photos instead of the gray background in the background appeared a rainbow flag. In the description to the picture the manufacturer urged network users to respect the decision of the company about the change of colors in the brand name.
“At BMW, we live diversity. We believe in an open culture where there is no place of privilege or discrimination based on origin, skin color, nationality, sex, religion, disability or age”, — says the publication.
Such a decision the company made in honor of the Month of the rights of gays and lesbians (Gay and Lesbian Pride Month), which is celebrated annually in the United States in June. A memorable date was chosen in connection with the clashes between the representatives of sexual minorities and police in new York in 1969.
In March a major German car manufacturers Audi and Volkswagen have changed their logos, calling society to isolation due to a pandemic coronavirus. So, the brand name of Volkswagen, the letter V is separated from W and distanced to the top of the ring, and the four overlapping rings of the Audi symbols in turn, the “parted” from each other at equal intervals.
