Anatoly Tarapoto: NPO “Energomash”
Died in USA Soviet designer Anatoliy Daron. The scientist was 94 years old, reports a press-service of NPO Energomash named after academician V. P. Glushko.
Anatoly Daron died on June 24, the cause of death was the aggravation of the cardio-renal failure. The researcher worked in NPO “Energomash” from 1948 to 1998, where he rose from design engineer to chief designer and head of the Department.
In particular, Daron built engines for rockets that delivered into space “Sputnik 1” and Yuri Gagarin. According to NGOs, the scientist led the development of liquid rocket engines RD-107 and RD-108 for the family of missiles R-7 rocket engine RD-270 for PH UR-700.
Daron is a knight of the order of the red banner of Labor, order of Lenin, honoured constructor of the RSFSR, doctor of technical Sciences and Professor. Since 1998, Anatoly Daron lived in the United States with his family.
