The safety of the American biological laboratories in Georgia and Ukraine is causing doubts in connection with the problems of public administration in these countries. In an interview with TASS said the head of the Antiterrorist center (ATC) of the CIS Andrey Novikov.
“The situation in which the whole world has highlighted another problem — the placement on the territory of certain countries bordering the CIS States, biological laboratories, foreign-owned, most foreign agencies and funds”, — said Novikov.
He called a threat from the activities of biological laboratories, located in Georgia and Ukraine. According to him, under certain circumstances, there are risks of leakage of biomaterials. This does not apply to terrorism, but the potential threat of negative consequences, as in any high-tech process, said Novikov.
“In fact, the experience of this pandemic, it may give an idea about the consequences of the loss or uncontrolled release of biological materials that pose a threat to life and health”, — concluded the head of the CIS anti-terrorist center.
Earlier, Russia’s permanent representative to the OSCE Alexander Lukashevich said that Moscow is concerned about the activity in American laboratories, “dual-use” in Ukraine and Georgia. Under the guise of fighting the epidemic there to conduct dangerous experiments, he said.
