Russian President Vladimir Putin will not resort to online-voting in the plebiscite on the question of amending the Constitution and will visit the polling station. On Monday, June 29, RIA Novosti reported.
“The President will personally vote. When and how we will let you know” — answered the corresponding question of journalists the press-Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov.
When the representative of the Kremlin asked about whether Putin is to use a mask and gloves, Peskov said that he “will vote so as not to jeopardize your health and the health of others”.
A nationwide vote on the issue of constitutional change takes place from 25 June to 1 July. Citizens will have to answer “Yes” or “no” to the question whether they approve the amendments to the basic law. Residents of Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod region can vote online.
Among the voted on amendment — the right of the incumbent President of Russia to be re-elected for a new term, the priority of Russian laws over international. All proposed changes approved by the regional parliaments and the State Duma, the Federation Council and the constitutional court.
