The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov has commented on the fact that Russians travel abroad through Belarus. His statement he made in an interview with RT journalist Anton Krasovsky in the framework of the project “Epidemic”. Transcript of the session posted on YouTube-channel publication.
First Lavrov said that he the first three months of the pandemic traveled abroad in Belarus and Serbia, although both were originally scheduled for March. Then kraskivs’ke asked him if the diplomat that now all the tourists fly to Turkey via Belarus airline Belavia.
“We can’t forbid people to use this feature. Another thing, of course, that caution and common sense must be present when making these decisions,” — said the Minister.
Earlier in the same interview, Sergei Lavrov could not answer the question about the timing of the opening of borders that were closed on the background of the pandemic. He said that the foreign Ministry in real time provides the Russian government with information about the situation with coronavirus abroad.
In may in an interview owned by Grigory Berezkin RBC Minister ruled out the possibility to move around the world with the same freedom after the pandemic coronavirus, noting that the restoration of international relations will take a long time. He also assured that Russia is not planned introduction of exit visas in order to control the movement of citizens abroad.
In June, Russia announced the opening of borders to travel abroad to work, study or to care for relatives. Such a statement was made by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. In addition, Mishustin said that to travel abroad can and those citizens who need to obtain medical assistance in other States.
