Leninsky district court of Yekaterinburg has changed the measure of restraint, three police officers accused of gang rape of a 22-year-old native of Kazakhstan. On Tuesday, June 30, the newspaper reports E1.RU with reference to the lawyer of the victim.
According to him, the police court changed the measure of restraint from house arrest to a ban to communicate among themselves, with witnesses and the victim. Defender fears that, once free, the accused will have on his client’s psychological pressure — the lawyer of one of defendants has threatened the girl with expulsion from the country due to the lack of registration.
The lawyer explains that the defenders of the police are also trying to reclassify the case, arguing that the victim provided sexual services and the sex was consensual.
According to investigators, the evening of 18 August, police arrested a girl at the sauna on Tchaikovsky street and threatened with violence, put in squad car, where he committed the crime. Policemen were dismissed from service. In their relation criminal case as regards 2 articles 131 of the criminal code (“Rape”) and part 2 of article 132 of the criminal code of Russian Federation (“Violent acts of sexual character”). Total accountability were involved 17 employees of the city garrison, including the immediate supervisor suspects.
