Almost 50 million Russians voted for amendments to the Constitution

In voting on amendments to the Constitution of Russia for five days took part of 49.6 million people. This was announced by the CEC Chairman, Ella Pamfilova, reports TASS.

Thus, the turnout according to the morning of 30 June amounted to 45.7 percent.

Voting on amendments to the Constitution began across Russia, 25 June to 1 July inclusive. Among the voted on amendments to the Basic law — securing it the supremacy of Russian law over international, the concept of marriage as the Union of man and woman, mentions of God and the Russian people, limiting the number of presidential terms to two and the right of Putin to run for 2024. The head of state said he has not yet made a decision on this matter.
