The Bank of Russia learned about the tricks that go with the insurers the issue of insurance. This was reported on the website of the regulator.
The Central Bank found that some insurance companies violate the right of vehicle owners to purchase insurance policy. In order to comply with the formal requirements of the law, insurers do not deny the drivers and send them for inspection of the vehicle to another unit. There is an artificially created queue, the delayed timing.
In addition, the regulator found that some insurers are forcing the victim to sign a tripartite agreement with the service station and insurance company, the terms of which differ from those defined by law. For example, the contract does not specify the date of the repair or have the opportunity to add additional information without the consent of the owner of the vehicle.
The attention of the Bank of Russia also attracted a situation when the insurance company include in the referral form for the repair of the clauses on the consent of the victim to use used/refurbished parts or is the point about increasing repair time. Another violation identified was the laying of the charge of an independent examination or inspection of the damaged vehicle for injured in an accident.
Earlier it became known about the new scheme of fraud with insurance. Criminals sell fake car owners insurance policies below their real value. When selling they warn that in the event of an accident the insurance payment for such document will not follow. According to the authors ideas, “models” needs to mislead the police.
