Russian cities become smarter — in 2019 in the country have implemented more than 2,5 thousand decisions on the project “Smart city”. On Tuesday, June 30, reported TASS the head of the analytical center under the government of Konstantin Kalinin.
According to him, about 40 per cent of those decisions had on the automation of buildings, 33% for the digitalization of electricity and heating, 32 percent for monitoring public safety, and about 27% for waste management.
In General, said Kalinin, the market for projects “Smart cities” at the end of last year exceeded $ 81 billion. About 300 successful implemented solutions to date are already included in the relevant online registry, said the head of the analytical center.
The project “Smart city” is realized in Russia, including in the framework of the national project “Digital economy”. Only the implementation of the national project it is planned to allocate more than 1.8 trillion rubles. In particular, it implies an increase of internal costs for the development of the digital economy at the expense of all sources, the creation of sustainable and secure information and telecommunications infrastructure for high speed transmission, processing and storage of large amounts of data, as well as the transfer of government agencies and organizations to use mainly software developed in Russia.
