Naval forces (Navy) of Ukraine intend to 2021 to place on the Black and Azov seas three divisions complexes with anti-ship cruise missiles “Neptune”. About it in interview to the Ukrainian service of “Radio Liberty” said the commander of the Ukrainian Navy Alex Neiipp, reports TASS.
“On the question of “when”, I think in the next year. But the “how”, I will answer that the planned three divisions coastal missile complexes. Two — on the Black sea, one in Azov,” said Neiipp and added that, according to the last test, nothing prevents the defeat of several targets simultaneously.
He called the weapon uniquely effective, and also said that the main task now is to get the “Neptune” as soon as possible and to apply them correctly.
In June the winged antiship missile P-360 complex LCD 360МЦ “Neptune” for the first time has passed flight tests with the standard warhead, which was successfully destroyed the specified target. In July 2019 the former Secretary of the national security Council and defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov said that the Crimean bridge in a few minutes may be destroyed “Neptune”.
