The main enemy of Ukraine is not Russia, and Ukrainian nationalists. This was told by a member of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Sergei Tsekov, reports RIA Novosti.
He believes that nationalists destroy Ukraine and continue to break the “centuries-old fraternal relations between our countries and peoples.” Tsekov called on the authorities in Kiev to stop bellicose rhetoric against Russia and advised not to go on about Western backers. The Senator added that Russia could repel any attack from any enemy.
Earlier Tsekov said that Russia is the only country in the world that has the historical right to make demands to Ukraine. According to him, Ukraine as a state was held by Russia. Tsekov noted that the Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky poorly understood realities.
The Senator reminded that if we look at history, in the time of the unification of Ukraine and Russia in 1654, the Ukrainian lands were treated a small area.
