The decline of Russia’s GDP this year will be the deepest for the past 11 years. Is the future of the economy is determined by the world Bank, RIA Novosti reported.
Experts say the annual decline of six percent. This figure in the Bank lay in the baseline scenario.
The deterioration of the forecast decline in GDP occurred against a rise in the incidence of COVID-19 and a collapse in oil prices. According to world Bank estimates, the economy will return to growth, in 2021 the figure will be 2.7 percent, and in 2022-m — 3.1 percent.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic the world has experienced the most serious economic shock since the great depression. According to the world Bank, global GDP in 2020 will decrease by 5.2 percent. The International monetary Fund (IMF) for the year was waiting for a reduction by three per cent, but in the end the forecast was revised even lower.
