The government of Ukraine intends to terminate the Memorandum on cooperation in the fight against terrorism with Russia, concluded in 2012. About it reports “Interfax-Ukraine” with reference to the agenda of the meeting of the Cabinet on 8 July.
Termination of the Memorandum will create additional legal and political grounds to protect the interests of Ukraine “in the conditions of the armed aggression of Russia”, the document says.
Earlier it became known that Ukraine withdrew from the Agreement on establishment of the Council of heads of financial intelligence units of the countries — participants of the CIS. The corresponding decree was signed by President Vladimir Zelensky.
In 2014, Ukraine military conflict broke out. Part of the Donbas declared independence after the change of the Central government in Kiev. Ukraine accuses Russia of occupation and the support of separatism. Moscow denies the accusations.
