Ukraine suspect Russia of wanting to get out of the Minsk agreements on settling the situation in Donbas. With the corresponding statement was made by Ukrainian permanent representative to the international organizations in Vienna Eugene Tsymbalyuk, reports “Interfax-Ukraine”.
According to him, July 9, Russian envoy to the Trilateral contact group Boris Gryzlov said that “today in Ukraine created two States”. In this regard, Tsymbalyuk has demanded explanations from the permanent representative of Russia to OSCE Alexander Lukashevich. “Does yesterday’s statement of mister Gryzlov that the Russian Federation intends to withdraw from the Minsk agreements? Or she plans to recognize these occupied areas?” —said the diplomat.
He added that Ukraine is ready to talk with its citizens living on the uncontrolled territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, but not the holders of Russian passports who have no legal right to represent local people.
Part of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions declared independence in 2014 after a change of Central government in Ukraine. Kiev accuses Russia of occupation of these lands. The Kremlin rejects the claim.
