In the first quarter of the current year “Gazprom” has received a record over the past six years, the net loss under international financial reporting standards (IFRS) in more than 100 billion rubles, reports “Interfax”.
A year ago the company during this period achieved a net profit of 535,908 billion, this lost 116,249 billion. Quarterly revenue fell to 1739,832 billion.
One of the major challenges for the company has become a large debt which is denominated in foreign currency. Due to the jump rate grew by 551,4 billion.
Earlier it was reported that in the first quarter under the Russian accounting standards (RAS) “Gazprom” for the first time in history was a loss in the amount of 306 billion rubles.
In the second quarter, the company is likely to worsen performance, as gas prices continued to decline in all areas, and delivery volumes fell sharply. In this regard, the April-may 2020 the export of gold for the first time brought Russia more income than the sale of pipeline gas, in which a monopolist is Gazprom.
