The Belarusian authorities will not allow “artificial destabilization in the society and the country,” said Minister of foreign Affairs Vladimir Mackay. It is reported Tut.by.
He promised that the authorities will do everything to prevent instability, which can lead to the loss of sovereignty and independence.
“And believe me, the whole structure of the government of Belarus aims to the preparation and conduct of election campaigns were held in strict accordance with the law and compliance with human rights,” said Mackay.
In his opinion, the race should be held “open, transparent, and fair.” Mackay added that we cannot allow the use of social media to incite anti-government actions and threats against civil servants, members of electoral commissions and law enforcement officers. “We believe that such things are unacceptable and should be stopped”, — said the Minister.
Earlier, on 24 July President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko warned that the government is ready to use Armed forces in case of possible protests in the country.
