The decision not to carry out the stages of “Formula-1” in North and South America due to the desire to avoid the spread of coronavirus. For the first time start of the racing series will be held in Portuguese Portimao.
“Given the nature of COVID-19, local limits, and the safety of our colleagues, we decided that spending starts in Brazil, Mexico and the United States in the current season is not possible”, — reported in the organization. Stages in addition to portimão will be held in Italy and Germany.
Thus, the “Formula-1” was canceled 11 starts because of a pandemic. The organization refused to race in Australia, France, the Netherlands, Azerbaijan, Singapore and Japan. Updated calendar consists of 13 stages. The final race will be held in mid-December in Bahrain and Abu Dhabi.
