Norwegian skier Martin Ek Hagen complained of deprived her of the prize Russian woman Yulia Chekaleva. Her words quoted by Dagbladet.
Ek Hagen remembered how Chekaleva won the world Cup in Rybinsk in 2015, and then in her doping sample was found a prohibited substance. “I never received the prize for the victory. It’s sad. Money is not the most important thing for athletes, but the prize means a lot. Chekaleva lost coin, but she had money,” she complained.
She added that he was stunned when I found out about doping by Russians. “Well, that broke the rules athletes are caught, even though it takes a lot of time,” concluded Hagen.
Results Chekaleva, starting with the Olympic games in 2014, was cancelled because of a violation of anti-doping rules. Victory on the world Cup stage in Rybinsk went to Ek Hagen. The best achievement of the Norwegian in the overall world Cup is the 47-th place in the 2011/2012 season.
