Almost half of Russians, or about 72 million people in need of government assistance because of the crisis caused by the pandemic coronavirus. Such data is called in the survey of Sberbank “Ivanov Index”, RBC reports.
About a third (32 percent) expect to receive child benefits. The money the nationals are going to spend on food, clothing and household goods. “Ivanov index” is calculated in the framework of the online survey in June, it was attended by 2.3 million Russians under the age of 65 years.
According to Rosstat, in the second quarter of 2020, real disposable incomes of Russians fell by eight percent. This was a record figure in 2013. According to a study of insurance company “Rosgosstrakh Life”, every fifth inhabitant of the country admitted a substantial drop in income during the pandemic, one in ten reported a complete loss of earnings.
Incidence of consumer sentiment Russia entered the top five. The most pessimistic think people from 30 to 49 years, constituting the most productive part of society.
