The head of the NTC of Libya arrived in Istanbul for unexpected talks with Erdogan

The head of the national consensus government (NTC) of Libya Faiz Sarraj unexpectedly arrived in Istanbul and held talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. This is with reference to the administration of the Turkish leader RIA Novosti reported.

It is noted that the meeting was not announced in advance. The content of the talks is not known.

On 20 July it became known that the NTC is prepared to step on force field Marshal Khalifa the Haftarot for this Turkey sent to Libya missile launchers.

On 15 July it was reported that the Libyan national army (LNA) led by the Haftarot, expects a big battle with the forces of the NTC and Turkey in the vicinity of the strategically important Sirte and al-Jufri. Who ruled the country since 1969, Muammar Gaddafi was overthrown and killed during the civil war in 2011. As a result, the country found itself in a situation of dual power: on the East in the city of Tobruk, seat of the Parliament, which supports the Libyan national army Haftorah, and in the West in Tripoli — the national consensus government. While the NTC has actively supported Turkey, and on the side of the LNA are Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Its informal allies are France and the UAE.
