The US President Donald trump has signed the document, which will enable the American manufacturers of military equipment partly to ignore the international Regime of control over missile technology (MTCR) and to sell to foreign countries heavy drones. It is reported The Hill.
The White House came to the conclusion that the contract entered into 33 years ago, is outdated and plays into the hands of countries that did not sign, and American industry is hurting. The representative of the state Department on political and military Affairs Clark Cooper stressed that the measure adopted by the President, will the United States and its partners to satisfy their interests in the field of trade and national security.
According to the new American standards, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which develop a speed of not more than 800 kilometers per hour, more do not fall within the list of prohibited distribution. This allows US to sell abroad a large UAV MQ-9 Reaper and RQ-4 Global Hawk.
