LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky wished to change the capital of the Far East and back to Khabarovsk. About this he wrote in his Telegram channel.
“Vladivostok is a great city but it is far from the center of a region, Khabarovsk is much more convenient in this sense”, — said the politician. In addition, he proposed to unite the 13 far Eastern regions. “And the Governor needs to manage, and the chief of the Far East”, — said Zhirinovsky.
It is noted that in 2018, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which the Central city of the far East Federal district is Khabarovsk was appointed as Vladivostok.
July 24, Zhirinovsky said about the readiness to kneel down before the residents of the Khabarovsk territory. According to him, he’ll go for it, “so they understood how we love them, we are prepared to defend them, believe that they are all right.” The politician also thanked the residents for their support of the arrested Sergey Furgala the removal from office of the Governor in connection with loss of trust, and asked to support the acting head of the region Mikhail Degtyarev.
On 20 July, the leader of the liberal democratic party has responded to the dismissal of the former Governor of Khabarovsk territory Sergey Furgala. He stated that he will continue to seek to dismiss the charges against the arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and ordering the murder of ex-head of the region.
