Acting Governor of Khabarovsk Krai Mikhail Degtyarev proposed to create a national Council for consultation with local residents. This was reported TASS the press service of the regional government.
“Can the Governor create a people’s Council, to include active representatives from different social groups and localities. We communicate in this format regularly, those with whom I can see, see,” — said Degtyarev. According to him, thanks to this Council the government will be able directly to discuss with citizens their concerns.
A proposal of the acting Governor announced during his spontaneous conversations with residents of Khabarovsk Krai, which was held earlier on Sunday, July 26. The politician stopped next to a convoy of motorists protesting against the arrest of the former Governor of Khabarovsk territory Sergey Furgala and discussed with them the situation in the region. In particular, local residents complained to him about the rising price of gasoline, high tariffs for housing and communal services and the shortage of doctors.
Sergey Furgala was arrested July 10 on suspicion in attempt at murder of the businessman Alexander Smolsky and ordering the murders of two businessmen Eugene dawns and Oleg Bulatov. Crimes were committed in 2004-2005 in the territory of the Khabarovsk territory and Amur region.
After that, the acting head of the Khabarovsk Krai was appointed Mikhail Degtyarev. He said that he came to the region with the aim to ensure the functioning of institutions and socio-economic development of the region. The politician assured that if dismissed in connection with loss of trust Furgala will justify, he will “pack up your things and leave.”
