The growth rates for the Internet in Russia is inevitable. This was told the Internet Ombudsman Dmitry Marinichev told “360”.
According to him, the change of value affects the “Spring package”, the depreciation of the ruble and pandemic coronavirus. “The price in rubles of equipment and Network operators increases. Increased cost of services,” he said, adding that in the pandemic, people began to spend more time on the Internet.
Fit does not rule out that in 2020 prices will be much tougher. Operators can offer customers higher speed, greater the number of services, to offset against rising prices.
Previously, the newspaper “Izvestia” with reference to analysts reported that the price of home Internet and TV in Russia in 2020 could rise to 15 percent. As noted by General Director TelecomDaily Denis Kuskov, the increase in the cost of rates is also affected by inflation, fluctuations in the exchange rate, rising costs, execution of counter-terrorism package of laws (known as the “Spring law”) and act on sustainable Internet. Another factor in the rise in price of services has become pandemic coronavirus. Therefore, prices on Internet and television this year can grow up to 20 percent, considered the analyst.
