Head coach of Kiev “Dynamo” Mircea Lucescu will quit four days after his appointment. It is reported by Romanian newspaper Gazeta Sporturilor.

According to the source, the reason was the hostile attitude of the fans of the team. “I can’t accept that the fans are operating against the interests of the club. My arrival in “the Dynamo” had no relation to the amount of the contract. I would be interested to try to return the team to the level that corresponds to the traditions,” — said Lucescu.

23 Jul 74-year-old has headed “the Dynamo”. After that, the supporters of Kyiv team in his Telegram channel spoke out strongly against the appointment of the coach, calling the leadership’s decision “a slap in the face”.

Lucescu is most known for his work in the Donetsk “Shakhtar”, which is the principal rival of “Dynamo”. He led the team from 2004 to 2016. Under his leadership, Shakhtar Donetsk, eight times became the champion of Ukraine six times winner of the Cup of the country and won the UEFA Cup.
