Tour operators reported low activity of Russian resorts, including Crimea and Sochi, in the autumn season. Information about bookings for the autumn revealed the Association of tour operators of Russia (ATOR).
So, according to analysts, peak bookings, beach holidays in Russia took place in July and August. At the same time, as said the experts, the excessive demand for holidays in the autumn months is not observed, despite the fact that experts have previously predicted a high demand for this period because of the shift of the holiday season.
“In the period from July 10 to 20, the percentage of bookings with departures in September and October was 5.3 percent in the same period last year — 17 percent. In the top during the “velvet season” Simferopol, Sochi, Anapa, Kaliningrad, Mineralnye Vody,” — said in the online service to purchase tickets Biletix.
To similar conclusions came and head of networks hotel “Atelica” and “wonderful world” Alex Vysochanove. “The numbers for July and August are almost sold out, the demand for September stable at level of last year. We expect peak demand for “velvet season” later, closer to September,” he said.
Earlier in July the head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksenov announced about the unprecedented flow of tourists in the region and said that the Peninsula has already taken the first million travelers. In addition, the head of the region noted that the availability of the accommodation facilities on the South Bank is 95 percent, and many five-star hotels are booked 100 percent.
