The authorities of the Brazilian state of paraná showed interest to the Russian vaccine for coronavirus, said TASS, the Russian Ambassador in Brazil Sergei Akopov.
According to him, representatives of the state were interested in the opportunity to not only purchase the drug, but also its joint development, testing and production throughout the state, taking into account scientific and production base of the region for further distribution in Brazil.
“It was a very positive contact. We in turn told them about the ongoing in Russia work and broader international cooperation”, — summed up Akopov.
Previously, the center “Vector” has received permission to conduct clinical trials of a vaccine against COVID-19 on volunteers. The first volunteers will be vaccinated with another vaccine approved by July 27.
Clinical trials of the vaccine, the Ministry of defense and the center of Gamaliel ended in Russia on July 20. In this day of the military hospital, was discharged the second, a volunteer group of 20 people. Minister of health Michael Murashko said that the vaccine COVID-19 according to the results of clinical trials have proven its efficacy and safety.
On 27 July, there are more than 16.1 million infected with the coronavirus, including more than 645 thousand died, and another 9.2 million recovered. Most infected are in the US, Brazil, India, Russia and South Africa.
