Bulgaria stopped the transit of Russian gas to Greece after the accident on the gas pipeline. This was announced by the company “Bulgartransgaz”.
Pumping of Russian gas was suspended for “violations of the integrity of the pipeline.” The incident occurred 200 metres from the border, already taken measures to conduct emergency repairs and renewal of gas transportation, the company said.
In the Greek Ministry of energy assured that the accident does not threaten the energy security of the country. The Greek side continues to get fuel from Russia via Turkey and also has significant reserves of liquefied natural gas, writes Reuters.
Through the territory of Bulgaria per year is about three billion cubic meters of Russian gas intended for Greece, said the Agency.
