In Kostroma the FSB detained overdue suppliers of ventilators. About it “lente.ru” has informed the representative of management of Investigatory Committee of Russia across Vladimir region Maria Serova.

According to her, the detainees were taken from Kostroma to Vladimir, where the court at the request of the investigator was taken into custody 44-year-old commercial Director of the company “Kostromskaya Medtechnika” and the 56-year-old Director of “Kostroma medtech Service”.

They are imputed articles article 238.1 (“Handling defective medical devices”) and 159 of the criminal code (“Fraud in especially large size”).

According to investigators, during the struggle with the threat of the spread of the new coronavirus infection Vladimir seven companies have purchased firms “Kostromskaya Medtechnika-Service” and “Kostromskaya Medtechnika” that belong to the same citizen, 97 lung ventilator “PHASE-5 HP”. They gave as charity care in Vladimir infectious hospital. But when testing the doctors found that the ventilator is released in 1995-2001, their validity expired in 2008.

The Commission recognized that the use of this medical equipment for patients unsuitable.

The investigation revealed that suppliers had deliberately misled the Vladimir businessmen about the quality and suitability of the ventilator, causing them to damage at 10.5 million rubles.

In hospitals of Moscow and St. Petersburg in may there was the fires, which killed eight people: two patients in St. Petersburg, six in Moscow. After the incident, the handling of the ventilator “Aventa-M” stopped. Was the version that ignition has occurred from-for short circuit.
