In the library of the Ural Federal University (Urfu) digitized the first edition of “the Word about Igor’s regiment” and the book 1714 under the name “French grammar J. Peploe”. The Russians will have access to electronic copies of works before the end of 2020, said in Urfa. The press service of the University leads TASS on Tuesday, July 28.
“Created collections for historical and legal Sciences, in the electronic archive of the University there are books on the history of the Ural University. This year the library staff plan to finish the description of digitized books and to provide access thereto from the electronic catalog,” — said in Urfa.
It is noted that only the Department of rare books the library has about 25 thousand books of the XVII-XIX centuries. Of them in electronic form given by more than 10 percent.
Creation of conditions for increase of availability of cultural life through digitization and the digitization of book monuments is one of the goals of the national project “Culture”, which will be implemented before 2024.
