Deputy Chairman of the Russian security Council, Dmitry Medvedev said that the pandemic coronavirus in some cases, contributed to the aggravation of the criminogenic situation in the country. It is reported by TASS on Tuesday, July 28.

On 9 June the former Prime Minister said that the crime rate among the migrants who lost their jobs and remaining in Russia, may increase.
At the end of June the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) reported that since the beginning of the year 832 thousand crimes. The number of murders decreased by two percent, the number of cases of deliberate infliction of heavy harm to health, entailed death of victims — eight percent. The number of rapes, by contrast, rose by 18.2 percent.
