For the first half of 2020 in Russia, has commissioned a 365,9 thousand apartments with a total area of 28 million square meters. Of these, 14.3 million “squares”, i.e., more than 50 per cent are private houses for living and giving, writes “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” with reference to Rosstat data.
According to the statistical Agency, the overall volume of housing construction in the first half fell by 11 percent (compared with the figure for the same period of 2019). The volume of private construction has decreased by almost 18 percent.
However, independently the Russians are building more than half of housing in the country — 51.3%. In some regions this figure is much higher: in Altai, Tuva, Kabardino-Balkaria, Kamchatka the share of private construction greater than 90 percent. In Ingushetia, Murmansk region, Jewish Autonomous region all new housing in 2020 is an individual house.
The most built-up region in the first half of the year was the Moscow region, where for six months put more than 9 percent of the total area of housing in Russia. In second place is Moscow with 8 percent, the third — Krasnodar Krai (about 7 percent).
