Sberbank plans to further invest in Rambler Group in the next phase of equity financing, to provide the group an absolute leader in the market. The total investment will be about 2 billion rubles. About it “lente.ru” have told in a press-service of Sberbank.
The investments will be aimed at accelerated growth in market share Okko order to make the multimedia service, the largest OTT platform of Russia in 2021. Also by investing in product and technology component mediaservice projects of Rambler&Co is planned to strengthen the leadership in the field of online media, as well as in the sale of electronic tickets for events.
In the framework of the provision of additional funding, Sberbank will buy from Rambler Group Treasury share in the amount of 6.95 percent, which was previously purchased by the group from a financial investor Capital Era. In addition to the redemption of 6.95 per cent directly from Rambler Group, in which Sberbank’s share will rise to 53.5 percent, the Bank will also acquire the stake of 1.5 percent directly from the company A&NN, a second shareholder, Rambler Group. Thus, Sberbank’s share in equity of the group will increase to 55 percent.

In April 2019 Sberbank made the decision to invest in Rambler Group, and the ecosystem of the savings Bank has complemented the group’s brands, including multimedia service OKKO, mediaservices holding Rambler&Co, as well as a cinema “Art”.
