About half of Russians do not believe that in 1969, U.S. astronauts landed on the moon. It is reported TASS citing a poll by the Russian center for public opinion studies (VTSIOM).
According to the survey, 49 percent of people in the country consider the event of falsification. The proportion of people who think the event is valid, for two years increased from 24 to 31 percent. Among the younger generation (aged 18 to 24 years) the landing has recognized 57 percent of respondents.
It is also reported that more than a third of Russians (36 percent) believe that the Earth is visited by representatives of extraterrestrial civilizations, and 13 percent of them believe that the government hides this information. In turn, about half of respondents (48 percent) of the residents believe that aliens do not exist and they visited the planet. 2018 the number of supporters of such opinions increased by 6 percentage points.
A nationwide survey was conducted by telephone interview, July 6, among 1.6 thousand of Russians aged 18 years. It is noted that for the sample the maximum size of error with a 95% probability does not exceed 2.5 percent.
