Nearly two dozen birds killed in one night in Kaliningrad zoo for unknown reasons. About it reported in a press-service of the institution, reports the edition “Klops”.
The mass death of birds occurred in ponds containing waterfowl: Anatidae and Anseriformes. Most died 18 inhabitants of the zoo, one of their half — wild, the other domestic. The remaining birds were transferred to other ponds and in the reservoirs was flushed.
The zoo also said that the night guard brought from the garden two medium size dogs. This fact can be associated with the incident, it did not specify.
In April, the white bear named Aurora died in a zoo in Izhevsk, during a conflict with a male Ball. Russian zoo tried to stop the Ball with water and paplauski shots. But when the bear fell, the female was dead.
