“Rosneft” and “Norilsk Nickel” agreed on partnership in the field of fuel supply. About it “lente.ru” reported in a press-service of the company “Rosneft”.
The company sent a joint letter to the Ministry of natural resources, in which Norilsk Nickel has expressed support for licensing of Turkovskiy area (including Ushakovskoe field) on the terms offered by the company “Rosneft” with the inclusion of requirements about the presence of the bidders existing projects to develop oil and gas fields in the Arctic zone of the Krasnoyarsk territory, as well as obligations to transport gas through the Northern sea route using the ice-class vessels.
In the case of purchase of this license, Rosneft will ensure the supply of missing volumes of gas to the enterprises “Norilsk Nickel” from inventory ushakovskogo plot after the beginning of its development.
As part of the agreement, from October 2020 to April 2021 Rosneft will supply the enterprises of Norilsk Nickel, located in the Norilsk industrial district, to 123,9 thousand tons of oil products. Deliveries will be made via the Northern sea route the Russian tankers of the company “Norilsk Nickel” with transshipment through the power terminal “arhangelsknefteprodukt” (subsidiary of “Rosneft”), the choice of which to participate in the supply chain supported the acting Governor of the Arkhangelsk region Alexander Tsybulsky.
Cooperation of “Rosneft” and “Norilsk Nickel” will be carried out on the basis of contracts, taking into account the obligations of the parties to respect the highest environmental standards. This work, in particular, will free up a significant portion of the tank farm of Norilsk Nickel, located in the region, to conduct a comprehensive survey, modernization of infrastructure and the measures needed to improve the reliability of the storage system of fuel.
