Roman Skripnikov: national police of Ukraine
Ukrainian authorities announced the death of the thief Roman Skripnik, who took hostage a police officer in Poltava. On 29 July reports Gordonua.com.
The police believe that the terrorist might commit suicide. “One theory is that this person may already lifeless. Because, according to police and according to the testimony of police officers, whom he took hostage, he was under the influence, as it seemed, strong drugs, methamphetamine,” said Deputy interior Minister Anton Gerashchenko.
The search for the attacker continues.
On 23 July, the police tried to detain Skrypnyk for carjacking. Threatening with a grenade, the criminal took hostage the operative. In the course of negotiations he was given a car. The chief of the local criminal investigation Department had traded himself seized by an ordinary employee. Together with the hostage Skrypnyk went in the direction of Kiev, on the way threw the car and disappeared into the woods. Hostage-a police officer was not injured.
It turned out that Skrypnyk was born in 1988 and fought in the Donbass, was convicted of possession and sale of drugs.
